Hi! Here's my every other week status report. Since our last WTF
meeting, Shirley and/or I have met with several groups and individuals,
including:

* the Instructional Services Deans group
* Mindy Hersch (Counseling)
* the Educational Services Council
* Mikelyn Stacey (Social Sciences)
* Ron Quinta (Math, Sciences & Engineering)

And, Shirley and/or I have the following meetings scheduled to date:

* Steven Wong (Business & Technology) - scheduled for Friday 3/8
* Associated Students (ASOC) - scheduled for Tuesday 3/12 after WTF
meeting
* Faculty Senate - scheduled for 4/3

Today's meeting with Doug Burns (IS Department), Tj, Shirley and me
needed to be rescheduled. We hope to reschedule the meeting for tomorrow
or Monday so that we will have information to provide during the WTF
meeting on Tuesday.

I met with Tj last Friday and we outlined some basic ideas about moving
the web site from the NT server to the Linux server. This and other
back-end technology topics will be discussed in our meeting with Doug.

Shirley and I have discussed an alternative to requiring Divisions to
adopt the main design. This alternative allows Division web sites to
maintain their own personality, as long as the web guidelines are
followed, or elect to adopt the main design. We mentioned this option at
the recent Educational Services Council meeting as well as during some
of the meetings with individuals and it has been received favorably. We
will discuss it more fully with you on Tuesday.

Here's the probable agenda for the WTF meeting on Tuesday 3/12 at 2-4pm
(I got the time right this time!) in the Library Video Conference Room:

     * provide an update about moving the web site to the new Linux web
server and other technology topics
     * discuss the alternative to requiring Divisions to adopt the main
design
     * discuss the possibility of adding another student member (Paula
Cassano) to the WTF
     * review draft #1 of Web Site Guidelines for the Ohlone web site
(these guidelines will start as general ideas and grow into specifics as
more details for the site develop)
