Carrie Dameron, Assistant Professor - Registered Nursing Department

Introduction

Carrie Dameron is a full-time instructor in Medical/Surgical Nursing at Ohlone College. She has been a Registered Nurse since 1992, where she worked in medical/surgical/telemetry unit and did staff education. Even though, med/surg is her specialty, nurses4him.orgCarrie worked in home health hospice for 5 years and enjoyed caring for patients and their families during this difficult time in their lives.  Carrie currently works as on-call in med/surg/telemetry units for a local hospital and is the founder of nurses4him.org, an online resource and support for Christian nurses.

Carrie has ANA Certification in Med/Surg, with an emphasis in pain management, spiritual care and staff education. Carrie assisted the Ohlone faculty integrating Spiritual Caring into the Ohlone College Nursing Program, which was completed in April, 2004.

She is a current member of Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and Nurses Christian Fellowship.
