Connie Olsen, Assistant Professor - English as a Second Language (ESL) Department

Introduction

When I first began teaching, I taught English composition to American students, but once I had the opportunity to teach English to students from other countries, I knew that I had found my niche. Over the past twenty years, I have taught at intensive English language institutes in New York and Ohio, major universities in China, and community colleges in California. I have had the pleasure of teaching ESL at Ohlone College since 2000.

In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy playing tennis, hiking, participating in church activities, and spending time with our grandchildren. Besides having lived in China, I have enjoyed visiting Canada, England, France, Germany, Holland, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Thailand, and many places in the U.S.
