Biography

My name is Mike De Unamuno. I’m a Community College Counselor and Assistant Professor here at Ohlone College. I was born, raised and educated in Fremont. I went to Grimmer Elementary, Horner Junior High, Irvington High School and Ohlone College, so the word “Community” in my job title is as accurate as it gets!

I've recently became the full-time Athletics Counselor here at Ohlone College. My responsibilities are primarily to assist student-athletes succeed in their academic courses and stay eligible to compete in their chosen intercollegiate sport(s).

I’m also happily married to my wife of five years, Melissa Mattos De Unamuno, and I'm the proud Papa of Miranda Cruz De Unamuno (3) and Miguel De Unamuno (1) . The four of us live in our cozy Fremont, Irvington District home. Yes, I love this community that much…I just can’t leave!!
