The entertainment industry is a fast-expanding, multi- dimensional business that employs over one million people nationwide. It offers exciting and rewarding career opportunities for skilled and creative technicians, designers and managers.

Ohlone College's Entertainment Design & Technology Program (EDT) is completely synched to today's entertainment industry, providing the multidimensional skills necessary for today's job market. This curriculum is designed to prepare students for the various fields of the Entertainment Design and Technology industry. Special competency areas can be directed toward lighting, audio, live event management, scenery, or costumes.

The EDT program offers Certificates of Achievement for students intending to go directly into the workplace, as well as for entertainment industry professionals desiring to enhance their skills.

In March 2009, EDT students visited Prelite, a pre-visualization company that has worked on many large entertainment events such as the Bon Jovi Tour and projects world wide. More information about the field trip to Prelite.
