Got Blood? Donate It!
There is an urgent need for blood!
The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime. There is no substitute for your donation.
Donors are needed every day. Don't wait to help save a life.
- Cancelled Wednesday, February 15, 2017
Sponsored by the Student Health Center and American Red Cross.
Please consider donating. There is a serious shortage of blood available. Try to think about if it were you or your loved one who needed a transfusion and there was no blood available.
You can still donate blood after getting your flu shot!
If you cannot attend an Ohlone College Blood Drive event, please donate blood at your local American Red Cross Blood Center (www.redcrossblood.org).
In order to donate, you must be 17 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 lbs. and be in good health. American Red Cross volunteer blood donors are required to provide identification before donating blood. The preferred identifiers include a government-issued ID or a Red Cross blood donor card.
