WEEK OF WELCOME (W.O.W.) SCHEDULE
We encourage new students to join us for our Week of Welcome (WOW) sessions May 8-14, 2021 where we will host LIVE Zoom sessions that will provide information on programs, connections, and the resources you will need to become an Ohlone student.
Sessions include an In-Person Open House, Application Workshop, Parent Q&A and Self-Guided Placement Support, Financial Aid Workshop, and Freshman Days. We know it can be challenging navigating the online learning environment and we want to provide you the support you need to succeed on your pathway to success!
Open House (IN-PERSON)
Saturday, May 8th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Graduating high school seniors and their families will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in what Ohlone College offers:
- campus tours
- campus clubs and program information
- learning opportunities information
Application Workshops (VIRTUAL)
Monday, May 10th from 6-8 p.m.
In this session, we will assist high school students with filling out the application for Ohlone College.
Parent Orientation (VIRTUAL)
Tuesday, May 11th from 4-6 p.m.
After Freshman Days Parent Orientation, a Q&A session will be offered for parents with further general questions. We will also provide assistance to complete the self-guided placement.
PARENT Q&A / PLACEMENT SUPPORT (Virtual)
Tuesday, May 11th from 6-8 p.m.
This session will piggyback off of the Freshman Days Parent Orientation in case parents have further general questions. We will also provide any guidance needed to complete the self-guided placement.
Financial Aid Workshops
Wednesday, May 12th from 6-8 p.m.
This workshop offers in-depth information about applying for financial aid, including the various grants available to students.
Join this virtual zoom webinar to learn more about college expectations and how to support your students in achieving their academic and career goals. This session is open to all families.
Thursday, May 13th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 1-3 p.m., or 4-6 p.m.
Friday, May 14th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., 12-2 p.m., or 3–5 p.m.

- Meet with a counselor
- Meet other new students
- Gather information about student government, clubs, and activities!
