Fremont, Calif., September 25, 2020—The Ohlone Community College District will hold spring 2021 classes online for the entire term.

“The health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff are always at the forefront of all of the decisions we make, and, given the current environment, we believe this to be the best choice in safeguarding the community,” says Ohlone Community College Superintendent/President, Dr. Eric Bishop.

While most classes will be fully online, via Canvas or via ConferZoom, or labeled as hybrid, there may be some courses that will need to be conducted in-person with the strictest safety measures in place. This information will be included in the course descriptions in WebAdvisor for spring 2021.

“We realize this is a tough time for students and that it’s hard to feel connected,” adds Dr. Bishop. “That’s why we have worked hard to provide our students limited in-person student services, have provided study centers with social distancing on both campuses, and have been able to provide technology support and equipment to those students with the most need. We are doing everything we can to make sure our students know that we are here for them.”

The College has opened its doors Monday through Wednesday to provide limited in-person students services and safe, quiet, and socially-distanced study centers with campus WiFi for all students. For those students that do not need to come to campus, the majority of student services and resources are available LIVE and online through the College website.
