Fremont, Calif., October 30, 2019—Bagels, fresh fruit, milk tea, hard boiled eggs, breakfast burritos, and coffee are just a few of the various food options Ohlone will have available at the Snack and Stay Café. The café, located in Building 5’s former cafeteria, will house several vending machines that provide healthy and hearty food and snack options along with fresh coffee, juices, and a prep area with utensils and microwaves readily available for students to use.
“Our campus is still in a transitional period with the building of the new Academic Core buildings and the planned renovation of Building 5,” says Chris Dela Rosa, Vice President of Administrative & Information Technology Services. “We plan to create a permanent dining hall for Building 5 but construction is still in the future so we wanted to provide students another healthy and convenient food option and location until that time.”
Have your breakfast, a midday snack, lunch, or dinner at the Snack and Stay Café and settle down at one of the tables to study, spend time with friends, or just relax between classes. The Snack and Stay Café will be open to the entire Ohlone College community and makes for a convenient food choice in addition to other vending areas on campus and food truck options.
The Snack and Stay Café is part of several on-campus food options including a snack and drink machine at the Fremont Campus bookstore, food trucks on both the Fremont and Newark Center locations, a noodle machine at Newark Center in addition to other vending options.
