The Ohlone Community College District recognizes its responsibility to exercise environmental stewardship and to economically manage the use of buildings, land, and natural resources. The District is committed to the following principles:
- Conservation of natural resources and avoidance of negative long-term effects on the environment.
- Maximization of environmental quality, use of renewable resources, energy efficiency and utilization.
- Facilitation of alternate forms of transportation, fuels and systems.
- Design of all major new building and renovation projects to meet United States Green Building Council LEED certification standards for energy and environmental design.
