Fremont, CA-With major budget cuts throughout the state, registering for the classes you need in college is becoming increasingly difficult. By attending the Ohlone College Freshman Days, high school seniors can get a head start on selecting the classes they will need to meet their goals. All seniors planning to attend Ohlone College after high school graduation are encouraged to complete the Senior Steps and register for Freshman Days: Ohlone College Orientation to get a head start on the enrollment process.

At Freshman Days students get an opportunity to meet with a counselor one-on-one to create a college plan that is specifically tailored for each individual student, and then register for the right classes. It is also a great way to interact with other incoming freshmen and to learn about the various programs and services that Ohlone College has to offer.

For parents who have questions, a special "Parent Orientation" will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 9:00am or 1:30pm along with Freshman Days. This is an opportunity for parents to learn about college expectations and how to support their student in achieving academic and career goals. There will be informative presentations by college administrators, student services, financial aid, and counseling. All parents are encouraged to attend.

RSVP today--the last day to sign up for Freshman Days is April 26! Students must have completed the placement test to attend the event. For more information, visit or contact Jesse MacEwan at (510) 659-6124, or
