Don Cardoza, Adjunct Faculty - Music Department

Don Cardoza has taught music at Ohlone College since 1990. The range of subjects includes theory, musicianship, sight singing, classical piano, jazz piano, jazz vocal and instrumental ensembles. Currently Mr. Cardoza teaches Class Piano and Jazz, Rock, Popular, and Blues Piano.

Mr. Cardoza studied composition with Ton DeLeeuw and Terry Riley and has written extensively for a variety of settings. He has played professionally in the classical, jazz and gospel arenas since the early 1960s and studied with North Indian vocal master Pandit Pran Nath from 1976 to 1991.

He is musical and choir director at Twin Towers Methodist Church in Alameda and performs jazz piano at Papillon Restaurant, 37296 Mission Blvd in Fremont on Friday and Saturday nights from 6:30-9:30 pm. He is a freelance musician and is available for weddings, funerals, concerts, parties, demos, arranging and recording and accompaniment.
