Dr. Kristal Kim has been part of the music faculty at Ohlone College since fall 2014. A versatile educator who believes in comprehensive music education, she has taught courses in Music Theory, Musicology, Applied Piano and various Ensembles at several institutions in the bay area.
She holds degrees in Piano Performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music (MM) and University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (DMA) and teaches piano and composition in her private studio. Equally active as a performing pianist and composer, Dr. Kim has collaborated with several performing organizations and educational institutions, covering vast styles of music beyond her main focus of classical music.
