Staff and Faculty Profiles
Gary Kauf worked as field anchor on KTVU's Mornings on 2 news program as well as The Ten O'Clock News. He served as senior writer for NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, hosted the weekly bay area travel show Our Town, and was assignment editor of KQED's Evening Edition. Mr. Kauf received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from San Francisco State University.
Arnie Loleng served as technical director at Bay TV. He has worked as director and technical director at KION TV, floor manager at WTKR and technical director at KCCN. He has worked on such shows as Henry's Garden, The Show, and Bay Café. Mr. Loleng received a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film from San Jose State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Regent University.
Veronica Eggert brings over 20 years experience as a casting director, and production coordinator in filmmaking, and television production, as well as documentaries and national commercials. Veronica has worked for Paramount, Pictures, Universal Studios, WB, ABC, and CBS. She says her goal is, "to bring my professional experience to the classroom to prepare students for careers in the field of video and film."
William V. Moore
Adjunct Digital Video Instructor
William Moore worked as a television news cameraman for KTVU's The Ten O'Clock News for over 25 years. Mr. Moore has covered such seminal events as the Loma Prieta earthquake, the Oakland Hills Fire and the murder of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone. His wealth of experience runs from working with film cameras and early ENG through Betacam and today's digital video.
Liquid Media, Juniper Networks
Nizar Ahmed is a San Francisco State University graduate with over 15 years of experience working with companies such as Universal Music, Google, IBM, and Juniper Networks. He has produced national and international webcasts, commercials, and has extensive knowledge of production and editing for musicians, nonprofit organizations, television stations, festivals, conferences, and expos.
After working for Juniper Networks and leading their Corporate Media Production team, Nizar started his own production company and currently spends his time consulting and teaching.
Nizar Ahmed holds a bachelor of Arts in New Media from San Francisco State University, He studied broadcasting at Ohlone College.
A national correspondent for NBC News, Mr. Schechner co-hosted NBC NEWS Overnight and has been an anchor and reporter for KPIX TV. He holds a Masters Degree from Columbia University in New York and a Bachelors from Oberlin College.
