Academic performance: Students are expected to maintain a grade of C or better in all IPP courses. If a student’s grade falls below the required level, that student may be asked to leave the program.

Schedule: The IPP is an intensive full-time program. The first year courses meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The second year courses meet on Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Fridays. There are occasional night and weekend courses. There may also be required events outside of class hours. This sample schedule [link to sample schedule] illustrates a typical fall schedule. Please note that exact times and schedules will change each semester.

Out of class work: Interpreting is a skill that requires a great deal of practice. The program requires a substantial amount of studying, reading, writing and preparing for classes. Students report requiring an average of 20-30 hours per week outside of assigned class hours to complete coursework.
