Prior to Spring 2021 Dual Enrollment was the umbrella term for all programs that are connected to high schools (except for the 2+2 articulation program). That term will be changed beginning with the spring 2021 semester and will now be Ohlone and High School Programs. The three programs below will fall under that term.
Early College = High school students (K-9 and 10-12) take their high school courses at their high school sites and come to the Ohlone College campus to take Ohlone courses on either one of the Ohlone’s campuses and/or take Ohlone’s synchronous and/or asynchronous online courses.* K-9 grade students are limited in which classes they can enroll. 10-12 grade students can enroll in any class that will transfer to a UC or CSU university. Find out more.
Dual Enrollment = High school students (10-12 grades only) take their high school courses at their high school sites and take Ohlone courses on high school campus(es) and/or Ohlone’s synchronous online courses. High school students can earn dual credit from their college course which will also earn them high school course credit. Find out more.
College Connections = High school seniors take their high school classes with high school teachers for a half day on one of Ohlone’s campuses. Then they take Ohlone courses on one of Ohlone’s campus(es) and/or take Ohlone’s synchronous and/or asynchronous online courses. This program provides an opportunity for high school seniors to experience what it is like to be a college student on Ohlone’s campus with support from their high school and from Ohlone. In this way students get assistance with their transition to becoming college students after graduating from high school. K-9 grade students are limited in which classes they can enroll. 10-12 grade students can enroll in any class that will transfer to a UC or CSU university. Find out more.
PLEASE NOTE: Asynchronous online classes do not have a designated time when students must log into the course. Synchronous online classes have designated days and times when students must attend.
