Non-resident U.S. military personnel on active duty in California (except those assigned for educational purposes to State supported institutions of higher education) are granted a waiver of non-resident tuition until they are discharged from their military service. Their dependents are granted a waiver as well.
Effective July 1, 2015, The Veterans' Access to Care Through Choice, Accountability, and Transparency Act of 2014 directs colleges and universities to charge in-state tuition to all veterans and their families who are receiving GI benefits, regardless of residency. This law also extends to the Post-9/11 GI Bill to dependents of service members killed in action.
Veterans should visit the Ohlone College Veterans Affairs Office website.
