The Ohlone College Music Department and Ohlone College Bands (through Ohlone's Community Education program) are proud of its performing bands and ensembles. Purchase tickets in advance through the Smith Center Box Office in order to avoid lines, or purchase them at the door the day of the concert.

Modern & Masterful - Ohlone Community Band

Modern & Masterful flyer.The Ohlone Community Band presents modern-day works including Foundation by Mark Camphouse. A Little Mystery Music by David R. Holsinger, and Echoes by Samuel R. Hazo. Also included are masterful pieces written with military bands in mind: An Original Suite by Gordon Jacob and John Phillip Sousa's Bonnie Annie Laurie.

Pops in the Park! - Ohlone Community Band & Ohlone Tuba Ensemble

Pops in the Park flyer. Join the Ohlone Community Band and Ohlone Tuba Ensemble as they present a FREE concert in the park. First will be the one-of-a-kind Tuba Ensemble – featuring more than 20 tubas! Next the Community Band will be featuring such pieces as: the overture La Belle Helene by Jacques Offenbach, Beguine for Band by Glenn Osser, Bond…James Bond arr. by Stephen Bulla, patriotic Mount Rushmore by Alfred Reed, and the popular Cheerio March by Edwin Franko Goldman (with audience whistle- and sing-along). Bring a blanket and a picnic basket - or just come for the great music!

Musical Celebrations - Ohlone Wind Orchestra

Musical Celebrations flyer.In their closing concert of the season, the Ohlone Wind Orchestra will be featuring celebrations in many forms: the energetic fanfares Millennium Canons by Kevin Puts and Dynamica by Jan Van der Roost, the oddities of Tam o’Shanter by Malcolm Arnold, the merriment of Children’s March “Over the Hills and Far Away” by Percy Grainger, and a celebration of nature with Shenandoah, “a meditative portrait of the river” by George Roumanis – along with many other great pieces.
