Taught by counselors, Personal Development classes focus on helping students adjust to college, choose a major and career, transfer to a university, and improve study and test-taking skills.

  • From 0.5 unit to 3 units
  • All are transferable to the CSU system and many transfer to UC as well.
  • Taught with care and professionalism.
  • Emphasis on academic guidance, career development, motivation, self-esteem, personal assessment and the use of both on and off-campus resources.
  • Counselor instructors facilitate students' use of the counseling department to continue, enhance or otherwise realize goals and objectives.
