GoPro Hero 4 Camera Presented to Fremont Festival of the Arts Winners
August 17, 2015 - Dr. Gari Browning presented GoPro Silver Hero 4 Cameras to Kim Jenkins and Robin Ferguson, the winners of Ohlone's pop quiz drawing. Contestants entered at Ohlone's booth at the 2015 Fremont Festival of the Arts by taking a pop quiz to test their knowledge of the College. Dr. Browning drew the winner's names on August 5. Congratulations to the winners and thank you for participating!

Meet the Ohlone Pony Shuttle!
January 22, 2015 - Dr. Gari Browning introduces the new, ten passenger, all electric vehicle that can shuttle riders from "Shuttle Stop" locations in the lower campus parking lots and from the modular classrooms of lower campus up to the upper campus buildings. The all-new Ohlone Pony shuttle will operate twice hourly at peak hours during day and evening class periods to help alleviate detours due to construction on campus. Watch for further information about the schedule and for the exact route.
Ohlone College District Awarded Sizable PG&E Rebate
October 22, 2014 - Ohlone College received a nice bonus in the form of a rebate for almost $33,000 from Pacific Gas and Electric. The rebate is for energy efficiency upgrades to lighting systems throughout the Fremont campus that resulted in net energy savings of 137,179 kWh. This upgrade provides for more sustainable use of energy throughout the campus even as the College embarks on some major construction projects.
Partnership Between Sister Colleges
October 17, 2014 - An agreement was signed continuing the six year partnership between Ohlone College's Deaf Studies programs and the Deaf Studies program at Swedish community college, Sodertorns Folkhogskola. Dr. Gari Browning, President of Ohlone College; Darline Gunsauls, Associate Dean of Deaf Studies at Ohlone; and Anna Hein, Dean and Vice President of Sodertorns Folkhogskola all signed the agreement, continuing a fruitful partnership!

September 10, 2014 - Ohlone College Foundation Director, Paul Iannaccone, Chair, Rakesh Sharma, and Vice-Chair, Julie Zhu, presenting Ohlone College President, Dr. Gari Browning and Board of Trustees Chair, Greg Bonaccorsi with a check for $100,000 for District programs.

August 4, 2014 - Dr. Browning draws the names of four iPad Mini recipients. Contestants entered at the Ohlone College booth at the Fremont Festival of the Arts over the weekend of August 2-3, 2014, by taking a pop quiz to test their knowledge of Ohlone College. Dr. Browning drew the winners' names from over 600 entries on August 7. Congratulations to the winners and thank you for participating!

May 29, 2014 - 98 scholarships, totaling $132,000, were officially awarded at the Foundation Scholarship Reception, held at the Hilton Newark/Fremont.
Celebrating Ohlone College Employees at the 6th Annual Classified Appreciation Breakfast
April 4, 2014 - Dr. Browning and the Human Resources department hosted the 6th annual Classified Employee Appreciation Breakfast. This yearly event brings together all classified employees to celebrate the work that they do and their contribution to Ohlone's mission, vision, values, and goals. After managers serve breakfast, new classified employees are introduced and then everyone is encouraged to get to know each other by playing team building games.
