The World of Circus Comes to Life at the Ohlone College Smith Center

Group of Sweet Can performers.

Fremont, CA—Dangling in the air by a silken thread, dancing to infectious musical concoctions, or balancing on one hand, Sweet Can brings a different type of circus to the Smith Center at Ohlone College. Telling a magical story that draws us in, the group performs amazing circus feats in the midst of an everyday world. Sweet Can’s performance not only includes circus acts, but also incorporates music, theater, and dance, bringing a visual masterpiece to the stage.

Since 2006, Sweet Can has revealed the magic in the mundane using scenarios that bring forth the shared emotional experiences that unite us all. Propelled by original music from composer EO, Sweet Can forces us to take an honest look at the limitations and possibilities of our own imaginations. SF Weekly raves, “These performers apply physical challenges and emotional complexity to the simplest of tasks while conjuring effortless grace doing the nearly impossible.”

Embark on a journey of discovery in a world of endless possibilities with Sweet Can at the Smith Center of Ohlone College. Tickets are available online or at the box office. Please visit, or call the Smith Center Box Office at (510) 659-6031 for more information.
