Sally Scofield is the Director of the Registered Nursing Program. She has the full time responsibility for managing all aspects of the program---its day-to-day operations, curriculum development and implementation, compliance with the California Board of Registered Nursing rules and regulations and acting as student advocate.
Prior to assuming the director position, Sally taught medical-surgical nursing courses at various levels of the program. She came to Ohlone College in 1998 after spending more than 20 years in acute care with clinical specialty in oncology.
Sally obtained her BSN degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines and her Master of Science in Nursing at San Francisco State University.
Her life is not all about work. Her passion includes the outdoors, reading, music, theater, and good movies. Her idea of a perfect vacation is camping under the tall redwood trees, surrounded by the mountains and listening to the sounds of nature. Sally's preoccupation lately has been her adorable granddaughter Charlotte. Sally has found that Charlotte is her de-stressor from the demands of the nursing program.
