Each web page shall display a standard footer following the main content area of the page (i.e., at the bottom of the page).
Contents of the Standard Footer
The standard footer shall have the following content:
An email link to the person in charge of maintaining the web page. For example: Please contact Jim Smith atwith problems or questions about this web page.
A text link to the Ohlone College homepage.
Websites for Division, Department, Committee, Other Campus Groups, and Staff must include a copyright statement as follows:

Websites for Faculty are excluded from this requirement until the intellectual property issue for faculty has been formally resolved. Faculty shall omit any copyright statement.

The following standard footer example is available for your to use on your pages (without the black outline). The "Get the (X)HTML code" links display the (X)HTML code for the footer. Paste the code at the bottom of each page in your website (you must change the email address for the email link). You may also design your own standard footer, ensuring that it contains the required information as listed above.

File types that are excluded from the standard footer requirement include:
- Adobe PDF files
- Microsoft Word files
- Microsoft Excel files
- Microsoft PowerPoint files
The content for these types of files should include an indication that they are from Ohlone College. Any questions about other document types and the standard footer requirement should be directed to the Web Team.
(X)HTML files are the preferred method of deliverying textual content. Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint or any other type of files should not be used instead of (X)HTML files in an attempt to bypass the standard footer requirement.
