Our new degree program offers you guaranteed admission to a California State University (CSU) in the Film, Television and Electronic Media major. We are the only community college in the area to be able to offer this.
You select your path toward a career in film or television – complete at least 6 of our courses toward your Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T), fulfill the college’s undergraduate requirements for a total of 60 units, and be assured there will be a spot for you in the CSU system.
Ohlone College Broadcasting: Film & Television offers hands-on classes in film production, directing a short film, classes in video editing using Premiere, AVID and Edius software, classes in TV news. Documentary production, shooting professional quality video, and developing a variety of production skills. We are The Bay Area's TV & Video Lab.

Ohlone College Broadcasting: Film & Television graduates are working at KTVU-TV, KPIX, KRON, CBS Sports, WFAA Dallas, KSBW, BBC Entertainment, Showtime Networks, Start Trek Films, Cartoon Network, and many, many other TV stations and production houses.

Introduction to Film & Video Production
Students work in small groups to write, produce, cast and direct short films.

Advanced Film & Video Production
Using Canon C300's, shoot in 4K and develop advanced skills.

News, Entertainment and Sports
Be part of the team that writes, reports, anchors and produces a live television newscast.

Streaming Live Events
Directing, floor directing, studio camera, teleprompter and other, basic skills to produce live events including newscasts, and Esports.

Shooting & Lighting for TV & Film
Develop skills to shoot professional quality video using Sony and Canon C100 and C300 cameras shooting in 4K.

Writing for Media
Develop your storytelling skills by writing for multiple media including: TV, radio, newspapers, internet and even write a short fiction script.

Video Editing for Film & TV
Edit for film, television and digital media on Premiere, AVID (commercial film and television standard) and Edius software.

Advanced Editing for Film & TV
Advanced film editing and post-production recording, color grading, ADR and Foley work.
